Looks like rm problem - it just loops. It is with fileutils-4.0-3:
mw1g017@MW1G17C /mnt/bor/tmp/tst
$ rm -r bar
rm: remove write-protected file `bar/foo'? y
rm: remove write-protected file `bar/foo'? y
rm: remove write-protected file `bar/foo'? y
rm: remove write-protected file `bar/foo'? y
rm: remove write-protected file `bar/foo'? y
rm: remove write-protected file `bar/foo'? y
rm: remove write-protected file `bar/foo'? y
...
